The TC10K has a mandate to support top local athletes, and nationally ranked Canadian runners. The race has a limited budget for entries and travel for top competitors. Runners who meet the entry standards and who believe they have a chance of finishing in a prize money position may be eligible for travel assistance. As a member of BC Athletics and Athletics Canada the TC10K falls under the policies of clean sport as set out by the CCES. Prize money for male and female winners will be awarded according to Athletics Canada rules and policies.
High Performance Program Information:
Welcome to the high-performance application for the 36th annual RunSport TC10K event, scheduled for Sunday, April 27th at 7:55 AM in Victoria, BC.
Below are the 2025 High Performance Standards
*Standards for our Open and U20 categories are set at 81% of age grade using the USATF calculator (with rounding)*
A maximum of 60 elite registrations will be accepted, divided among 5 U20 men and women, 15 open men and women (20-39), and 10 (40+) master men and women. Race organizers reserve the right to limit capacity.
Applications will be kept on record in case approved athletes cannot participate, and spots may be filled based on availability.

Applicants must:
Supply a link to a performance achieved within the past two years, preferably from a certified course.
Points performance equivalent for distances from 5K to the half-marathon (21.1K) will be considered.
Age grade percentage equivalent for age groups 45 and above will be considered for the masters categories.
Athletes must be current members in good standing with BC Athletics.
We also accept other distances for qualification and all other age groups.
If the athlete has not yet achieved the standard but is close, we encourage them to apply, as quotas are not always filled.

Only pre-registered out of town registrants may pick up their race packages on race morning.
There will be a Late Package Pick Up tent (beside the Gear Check tent) located on the Legislative Building front lawn.
Packages can be picked up between 6:30am and 7:30am.

The TC10K start line is at Government St. and Belleville St.
7:55am: Wheelchair Participants and Visually Impaired Participants start.
8:00am: TC10K Participants start.
The start line is "self-seeded", please line up for the start of the race in the vicinity of the corresponding tear drop sign for your goal finish time as per your bib colour.
The start will be slightly staggered to ensure the fastest and safest race for all participants. We will be sending participants off in 750-1000 person waves a few minutes apart.
Strollers MUST start at the back of the start corral so as not to impede the progress of runners.
11:00am: Thrifty Foods Family Run start (on Government St. next to the Legislative Buildings).

The TC10k is a BC Athletics and Athletics Canada sanctioned event. We comply with all policies of those governing bodies. To be eligible to receive a cash prize, you must first state your intention to register for the TC10k as a High Performance Athlete by using the application registration tab above.
All applications must be reviewed and approved by the TC10k High Performance Coordinator.
The event does NOT issue letters of invitation, visas or travel authorizations. Athletes are responsible for their own entry documentation to Canada.
Athletes may receive multiple awards. Prize winners must be available for media interviews. Proof of age or residency may be required.
Residency is considered the 12 months prior to the race.

Visit the TC10K Gear Check Tent on the Legislative Grounds between 6:30am and 11:30am on Sunday April 27 (race morning).
Yu must show your race number to check items. Please do not check valuables, the TC10K is not responsible for lost or stolen property.
Clothing left behind will be donated to charity. Please do not leave any backpacks or packages unattended on the grounds as they will be removed.

Recreational wheelchair participants start at the 1hr40minute area.
Participants with strollers or baby joggers are asked to start at the back of the start area to avoid tripping of participants in a crowded start.
Nordic pole walkers start near the back to ensure both your safety the safety of those around you.
Dogs and other four legged pets are not allowed on course or in the kid zone/finish area. Please leave your furry supporters at home for the morning!
Service animals who certificates have been submitted to the TC10K team prior to race weekend are an exception.

Street parking and parkade parking are available on Sundays. You do however have to pay to park.
